Overview

Our trip allows you to experience three of Europe's most fascinating cities. Whether it's the open freedom of Amsterdam, the quaintness and charm of Bruges or the world-class cosmopolitan Paris, this trip has something for everyone. Amsterdam is famously gezellig, a Dutch quality that translates roughly as 'convivial' or 'cosy'. It's more easily experienced than defined. There's a sense of time stopping, an intimacy of the here-and-now that leaves your troubles behind, at least until tomorrow. The easiest place to encounter this feeling is a bruin café (brown cafe; traditional drinking establishment). Named for their wood panelling and walls once stained by smoke, brown cafes have gezelligheid (cosiness) on tap, along with good beer. You can also feel gezellig lingering after dinner in snug restaurants while the candles burn low. You will also experience the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens on a hassle-free tour from Amsterdam. Travel by comfortable coach through the Netherlands' countryside filled with blooming flower fields, and then enjoy three hours walking through the Keukenhof Gardens at your leisure. Enjoy the vibrant display of millions of spring tulips! Our second stop allows you to discover Bruges, an immaculately preserved medieval old town, just over the border into Belgium. Tour this picture-perfect town as you explore charming streets, quaint canals, and exquisite shops selling everything from monk-brewed beer to handmade chocolates. And then there is Paris. Paris is one of the most beautiful cities on earth, a truth easily appreciated on a stroll that could yield one stunning vista after another, from the epic Eiffel Tower to the regal Jardin des Tuileries to the petite cafés bursting onto the sidewalks. Beyond the city's visual appeal, the cultural riches of the French capital are unsurpassed. Whether you opt to explore the historic, fashion-conscious, bourgeois, or bohemian and arty sides of Paris, one thing is certain: the City of Light will always enthrall. Our trip is a 12-day journey to these three fascinating countries. A balance of walking and sightseeing will make this trip a memory of a lifetime.
