Date and Time

Friday, November 30, 2018 3:00PM - Sunday, December 2, 2018

Mohican Outdoor Center,
New Jersey, Delaware Water Gap,

Registration is required for this activity.

The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course will teach you how to deal with common medical incidents and accidents that occur in the backcountry. It stresses safety, preparation, crisis avoidance, and the treatment of problems such as blisters, sprains, hypothermia, heat disorders, protection from the elements and more. This course does not go into the depth that the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course does; however it does provide an important level of understanding about recognizing and treating medical emergencies or injuries. This course also discusses long-term patient care, a reality of backcountry travel. The WFA is a 16-hour course and can be used to re-certify a WFR level of training (see below for details). CPR certification can be obtained for $35.00 during the course, payment by check or credit only. Please let the Mohican staff know if you desire this training prior to the course start date. If this course is being used to re-certify a WFR certification, please let the Mohican staff know prior to the start of the course so that appropriate materials are ordered for you. There is an additional $15 charge to re-certify (payable directly to SOLO at the time of the course). You must bring your current WFR and CPR card to the course. For frequently asked questions about this programs see SOLO's website:
