Overview

Join a small group of families at AMC's newest Medewisla Lodge and Cabins in Greenville, ME Monday thru Thursday of School Vacation Week. Enjoy private lakefront cabins w/shared bathhouse (w/shower) and toasty warm woodstove. Small group of families. Drive in location. Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe extensive trail network just steps away from our cabins. Group cooking and full service combo. We will stay in four private lakerfront cabins with shared bathhouse with shower, each sleeping 5 - 6 people, each with two bedrooms with either queen or twin beds, and a living room with double futon. We anticipate one or two families per cabin, depending on family size (will need to be flexible). All cabins have electric LED lighting, and a woodstove (ADA accessible cabins have propane stoves). Linens are provided, including pillowcases, sheets, and towels. Our cabins have a kitchenette and we will cook as a group one dinner and two breakfasts and lunches. Our second night, Tuesday night, we will enjoy "full service" eating dinner in the main Lodge as well as breakfast the next morning and trail lunch will be provided for Wednesday. Medawisla (the Abenaki word for loon) is part of AMC's Maine Wilderness Lodges network. The Lodge & Cabins are "off the grid" by the shore of Second Roach Pond, on 70,000 acres of forestland permanently conserved by AMC as part of its Maine Woods Initiative. AMC has completely rebuilt this sporting camp first opened at this location in 1953. The main or Central lodge includes dining room, sitting area, deck, and sauna. $350/adult; $225/Youth (13 - 17); $150/child (12 and under). Non-members are $400; $250; $175 respectively. Past participants say...

"Medewisla is beautiful. The 2 BR waterfront cabin is cozy, warm, and comfortable. You walk a very short distance to the bathhouse (with showers), but even a midnight stroll is greeted with a brilliant night sky not to be missed. The main lodge has a wood fired sauna, bathrooms, center fireplace, sitting and dining areas. Meals are served family style and delicious. AND the best groomed XC Ski trails in Maine. Not to be missed."
