Overview

Very Strenuous. Snowshoes and traction devices (e.g. "stabilicers") are required. This is a 5-6 miles loop (depending upon conditions) using the trail system at Wendell State Forest. Our route covers rolling hills with one steep climb to an over-view. We will stop at the shelter on the NET for a break. Bring water, trail snacks, a lunch and appropriate clothing and gear. Sturdy hiking boots and poles are recommended as are microspikes. Traction devices and snowshoes are required. The hike will end at approximately 2:00. From the Southwest/Northwest Take I-91 to Exit 27, Rt. 2 east. Drive 7.0 miles, turn right onto River St. Drive 0.6 miles, slight left, becomes Pratt St. Drive 0.2 miles, right onto Lester St. Drive 300', left onto Bridge St. Drive 0.2, slight left, becomes S.
