Hike through Fort Washington SP for a mostly easy 5 miles. Meet at 10 AM at the main parking lot off Militia Hill Road, across from the Hawk Observation Platform. We'll do a circuit around the park trails, then hike along the (paved) Green Ribbon Trail to Stenton Avenue and return. This will be a casual hike, feel free to bring binoculars if you'd like to check out winter birds. due to uncertainty of conditions, this hike is not going to be suitable for small children, but anyone over age 13 can join us. No dogs please. Note that some areas here can be swampy, so best to have waterproof boots. Will cancel in case of severe weather (rain/snow/sleet etc), leader will email everyone day of hike to confirm so please register for this hike. Leader will be the person with the clipboard near the parking lot entrance. As an added bonus, L will regale you with stories about the Continental Army marching through this area. Spoiler, they had a harder time than we will.
