Overview

Want to spend the night on a wild island? Come learn about the nation's first water trail; over 200 sites stretch between Maine's NH and Canadian border for day use or overnight camping. The evening is held in MITA's new offices overlooking Casco Bay and will include an overview of the trail from MITA's Executive Director, Doug Welsh, and demonstrations of the gear you'll need and how to pack for an overnight kayak expedition to one of Maine's wild islands. Free, but registration is required. Offered in conjunction with MITA.
