Overview

Registration is requested by clicking on the Register Now link above (but not absolutely required) in order to help manage group size and ensure a safe and fun hike. A YES RSVP can be changed to NO at any time. Even if you are on the waitlist you will likely be able to attend due to many last minute cancellations and no shows. Fort Greene in Brooklyn is one of those neighborhoods that really has it all. It has some of the finest blocks in the Brownstone belt, a scenic park with historical significance and many art venues. We will experience all of these things on this urban hike, which ends on DeKalb Avenue by Juniors Restaurant, where you can have one of their world famous cheesecakes. We will hike at a steady, intermediate (not fast, but definitely not slow) 3 level pace over a distance of 4 miles. There will be no lunch stop, so please bring snacks to eat along the way if you wish (Per AMC policy, please no dogs, unless indicated otherwise). Rain or even questionable forecast, as well as potentially unsafe ground conditions from ice or snow may cancel or modify; check website for latest updates. To get to the meeting spot, take one of many subways to Atlantic Avenue Barclays Center Station. Meet in front of the Guitar Center on the Atlantic Terminal Mall plaza across from the Barclays Center at 1 PM.
