Ditch the cold and come join us in January for a week of adventure in beautiful Costa Rica. Costa Rica is an adventure-lover's dream and everywhere you look, you are greeted with peaceful waterfalls, lush tropical rainforests, and a plethora of wildlife. These are the perfect conditions for our "Week of Adventure" which will include: white water rafting one of the world's top-rated rivers, zipline above the rainforest canopy, mountain bike down a volcano offering expansive scenic vistas, canyoner down natural waterfalls. Rest assured, you do not need prior experience with any of the activities to join this trip. In addition to our adventure activities, you will have a chance to tour an organic coffee plantation, experience local culture and explore the rain forest and all its inhabitants. Costa Rica has a quarter of the 300 hummingbird species found in the world. It is also home to more than 10% of all the species of butterfly in the world. There is a good chance you will see howler monkeys, sloths and many other interesting wildlife. We will be staying in hotels 5 of the 7 nights. The other 2 nights we will be in the heart of the rainforest in an Eco-Lodge enjoying the sights and sounds of nature. Although there is no electricity, you will feel quite comfortable in your cabin, each with en-suite bathrooms equipped with solar to provide nice hot showers. We will have delicious hot breakfasts and dinners while we are there. There is something really special about dining by candle light in this jungle setting.
