Overview

Join a small group of families at AMC's newest Medawisla Lodge and Cabins in Greenville, ME Monday thru Thursday of February School Vacation Week. Enjoy private lakefront cabin or bunkhouse w/shared bathhouse (w/shower) and toasty warm wood stove. Small group of families. Drive in location. Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe extensive trail network just steps away from our cabins/bunkhouse. Group cooking and full service combo. Your choice private lakefront cabin (limited availability and more expensive, each with living room with futon and two bedrooms with either queen or twin beds with linens including pillowcases, sheets, and towels provided) or bunkhouse (super nice almost brand new with separate rooms partitioned with 4 bunks per room) - either with shared bathhouse with shower. We anticipate one or two families per cabin, depending on family size (will need to be flexible). The bunkhouse sleeps up to 16. We will have some electric LED lighting and a wood or propane stove keeps the cabins/bunkhouse toasty warm. Our cabins/bunkhouse have a kitchenette and we will cook as a group one breakfast, one dinner and our lunches. Our second night (Tuesday) and Wednesday and Thursday mornings, we will enjoy "full service" eating dinner and breakfast in the main Lodge. Medawisla (the Abenaki word for loon) is part of AMC's Maine Wilderness Lodges network. The Lodge & Cabins are "off the grid" by the shore of Second Roach Pond, on 70,000 acres of forestland permanently conserved by AMC as part of its Maine Woods Initiative. AMC has completely rebuilt this sporting camp first opened at this location in 1953. The main or Central lodge includes dining room, sitting area, deck, and sauna. Questions?
