Enjoy backcountry skiing in the remote Maine Woods, an untarnished wilderness replete with mountain landscapes and countless remote fishing ponds. 3 nights lodging at West Branch Ponds Camp, a rustic, traditional Maine Sporting Camp and Maine's longest continuously operated camp, family owned and managed since 1910. Home-cooked family-style meals, cozy waterfront cabins, personalized ski route planning and trail grooming in a pristine wilderness area within the AMC's 70,000 acre reserve. Experience the warm hospitality of host Eric Sterling as he regales us with tales of the north woods from the open kitchen while putting the finishing touches on breakfast/dinner. ELISE loves the Maine Woods and has been leading backcountry nordic ski trips to Maine for several years. This is her third trip to WBPC, her favorite of the four remote wilderness lodges in the area. In addition to skiing, Elise also embraces the beauty and serenity of winter by leading hiking/snowshoeing trips, mostly in the mountains of NH. She is WFA certified and is a graduate of AMC's Mountain Leadership School. Let's get out and play in the snow!
