Overview

One summer morning in 1995, a group of my friends and I set out on an extraordinary adventure in the woods of Evansburg State Park and Collegeville area. After a day of heavy rain we decided it would be a good idea to go for a bike ride. We began out on the trails we knew well, and then went further. Soon after that, we were on unmarked horse trails and ATV trails which were some of the first times we set out on. This adventure brought us outside the trails we knew so we saw a lot of cool things all while getting messy. As we ended the trip with many laughs, our shoes and socks soaked, shirt, pants all covered in mud, we entered the Collegeville McDonald's, I never would have thought I'd remember that day we went mud bogging twenty five years later. Today, most of these trails are part of gravel rails to trails networks, or developed into paved trails. Although there are some trail sections which are still remaining off map and are not as heavily traveled and a bit muddy. Join us on a 15 mile bike ride. This ride will cover some trails that are off map. The trails we will ride are muddy horse trails, bike trails, grass, roads and gravel trails that go through Evansburg State Park and along the Perkiomen Creek. I suggest you bring your mountain bike or fatter tire bike with nice gripping tire tread since there are rock and stone sections that we will go over. Be prepared to get wet and muddy! What to Bring: Helmet, bike repair tool set, spare tire tube, 1-2 L water, snacks, correct clothes for the weather Meeting Location: Appalachian Brewery Parking Lot, Collegeville, PA Severe weather cancels. Contact me if you have any questions.
