Overview

Join us for a family friendly trip to Cater Notch Hut. We will hike the 19 Mile Brook Trail to the hut and stay one night in rustic unheated bunk rooms. Nineteen Mile Brook Trail to Carter Notch is 3.8 miles (one-way) with 1938 feet elevation gain including some minor stream crossings and steep sections. Experienced young hikers welcome with a recommended minimum age of 6 years old. Cabin is self-service and leaders will plan a dinner and breakfast that will be communally prepared in the provided kitchen. Participants will be required to bring their own warm sleeping bag, lunches, and snacks. The communal food will be distributed among participants at the trailhead to carry in their packs.
