Overview

Looking to continue your winter hiking? Come join us at Wachusett Meadow Audubon Sanctuary in Princeton, Ma. Parking is $4 per person. From the sanctuary we will proceed down to Dickens Trail where this trail links up with the Harrington trail (Mid-State), leading to the summit of Mt Wachusett. This moderate hike will be an out and back trip, with total distance of approximately 7 miles on rolling terrain, with a rapid but quick elevation gain before reaching the summit. Hiking pace will be 1.5-2 mph. Bring snacks, and 2 or more liters of water. Winter gear must be brought on this hike including proper waterproof hiking boots and Microspikes, as well as snowshoes (trail conditions will dictate what traction we will need) are required. Heavy precipitation cancels. A post meal after the hike might be inluded at a nearby restaurant.
