This family weekend is sure to create a love of hiking in your children. Mount Cardigan's 3,121-foot treeless granite summit affords outstanding views of west central New Hampshire, with a panorama that includes Mount Monadnock and the White Mountains, Camel's Hump in Vermont, and Pleasant Mountain in Maine. "Old Baldy" as its locally known is a perfect big mountain hike for families, this 5-mile round trip rewards with inspiring 360-degree views. Great for families with children ages 6 and up.
