Join an AMC Outdoor Guide on an attempt to summit New England's highest peak, Mount Washington. At 6,288' the "rock pile" towers over the surrounding peaks and should be on everyone's bucket list. Often underestimated due to its low elevation for a summit above treeline, and its relatively short mileage. Known for its extreme weather r including the highest land wind speed ever recorded, at 4.2 miles one way, this will be an exciting and challenging hike. ITINERARY 7:30 am Meet AMC Guides; Gear Check Hike up the Tuckerman Ravine Trail to the Summit of Mount Washington Lunch on the trail Hike down Tuckerman Ravine Trail, Lion Head Trail, Tuckerman Ravine Trail 5-6 pm intended wrap up PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Summiting the Highest peak in the north east Experience above treeline travel Guiding by an experienced AMC Guide
