Annual Connecticut AT volunteer season kick-off "get together" and work party activity. All current and prospective CT AT volunteers, including maintainers, patrollers, corridor monitors, Bulls Bridge team, and anyone interested in the work volunteers do to keep the AT open are very welcome. The day consists of a short organizational meeting, including the donuts and coffee we've all come to expect. Following the meeting, we encourage you to hike off the donuts with the Trail Maintainers as they do a walk through and inventory of their AT sections; or join the Boundary Monitors to assess the condition of the AT National Park Service lands. Then, at end of day, we'll all come back together to regale each other with stories of the days activity and a BYO social. Meet 9am at the Kent Town Hall Meeting Room on Rte 341 in Kent , CT. Bring water, lunch, work gloves and (optional) beverage/snack for the post-project wrap-up. PLEASE NOTE - NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR!

Jim is a long time AT section maintainer for the Pine Knob area. He has been an active CT trail volunteer for over 25 years, and also currently serves as the CT AT Committee's Overseer of Trails.
