Overview

What would you do if someone challenged you to climb some White Mountain 4,000 foot peaks? All 48 of them? In a single month? How about for 12 months in a row? In less time than anyone else? Between August 23rd 2018 and July 7th 2019, Philip Carcia climbed all 48 4,000 footers in the White Mountains, in every month, for 12 consecutive months, establishing the "Fastest Known Time" for one of the most grueling and obscure peak-bagging projects in the Northeast - the Single Year Grid. Featuring his own images and high-definition video, Philip joins us via Zoom to share his experience in "giving fully" to this extreme, timeboxed 576-peak New England challenge. All are welcome to this virtual event. The program will begin at 7:00 PM and last approximately an hour including questions and discussion. Please register above or below, and we will e-mail you the Zoom meeting details ahead of the event.

Leader

(Email this person.)

Alex enjoys hiking in all seasons. While best known for fast-paced single day, multi-peak mega-hikes and gnarly back country bushwhacks, he will enjoy sharing his love for the mountains just about anywhere, with hikers at all ability levels.

Co-Leader

Philip is a hiker, runner, and media creator who has logged over 15,000 miles on some of the most iconic trail networks in North America. Growing up in Massachusetts and cutting his teeth in New Hampshire, he fostered a deep love affair with the mountains of the Northeast at an early age. Almost two decades later, that love has become an anchor in Philip's personal and professional narrative. MT '06, LT '07, AT '08, CT '09, PCT '10, TCT '11, JMT '12, TRT '16, WM Direttissima x2
