Overview

At the end of February, Robert McWilliams spent a week in Big Bend National Park, hiking as many trails as time and body would allow. Rob's fully illustrated talk will cover his experience of the Park, focusing on its three main ecosystems-the Rio Grande, the Chihuahuan Desert, and the Chisos Mountains. Tired of corporate life, Rob quit his job to fulfill a stubborn ambition to walk the length of Scotland, a trek that led to his book, "The Kiss of Sweet Scottish Rain." He contributed the Taking a Hike column to CT newspapers for seven years. Rob has also written for A.T. Journeys, the official magazine of the Appalachian Trail, and Ctvisit.com. He does consulting work on information privacy, and volunteers with the Nature Conservancy, Appalachian Trail and other outdoor causes. This is an ONLINE MEETING on the ZOOM platform. Contact the Registrar to receive dial in details, including password.
