Overview

Join Michele Grzenda, Naturalist and AMC leader for a virtual beginners class in learning the common songs and calls of our backyard birds. Birdsong identification is a lot like learning a foreign language. We'll start with a few basic bird songs as reference, then add to your repertoire with repetition and practice. You'll learn the different types of sounds the birds make and why they make them. Michele will introduce you to the techniques you can use to remember birdsongs. This presentation will be spaced over two thursday nights, however, it's ok if you can only make one of them. In each class, we will focus on approximately 10-15 different birds.
