AMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors locally, visit many of our lodges and campgrounds, and join virtual events and activities. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the AMC liability waiver, online registration is required for all in person AMC events.

Overview

An MODERATE approximately 10-12 mile round trip 5 hour flat-water paddle. We will meet and launch at Long Pond in Sturbridge, Paddle through East Brimfield Lake, up the slow moving Quinebaug river through marshes filled with birdlife to Holland Pond and back. PFD, hat, lunch, snacks and 2 liters of water required. Social distancing must be practiced. All participants arrive wearing masks and have hand sanitizer. All participants must register online and agree to the COVID-19 protocol described there. A few loaner boats are available for registered participants at a nominal charge, arrangements well in advance. Ask the leader to inform the equipment coordinator, David Elliott.
