Overview

Join Amy Grenier for a presentation on the John Muir Trail ("JMT"), a 211(ish) mile trek through the Sierra Nevada range of California. Amy solo hiked the JMT in 2018 on a shoestring budget and remained involved with the online community surrounding the JMT. This Zoom presentation will cover trail background information, pre-trip planning, resupplies, gear, on-the-trail considerations, useful resources, as well as things she would do differently. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and the powerpoint will be shared in advance to people who pre-register. Please register above or below, and we will e-mail you the Zoom meeting details ahead of the event. The presentation will start at 7:30 pm. Amy is an AMC co-leader with the hiking/backpacking committee. In addition to the JMT, her hiking/backpacking resume includes the Annapurna Circuit, the High Sierra Trail, the North Circuit Loop in Glacier National Park, as well as almost all of the New Hampshire 4,000 footers.
