Overview

Back by popular demand - the Wear n' Tear. This is not an outdoors fashion statement but wear n' tear is what you should experience as we finish this 16 mile hike with ~5,000 of elevation gain. We will be moving at a brisk pace and not be stopping to have lunch, nor to enjoy views, nor take photos. This hike is designed for those folks that are interested in doing the Hyner Hill Challenge so that Amy and Julie may be acquainted with your current trail conditioning. Wear n' Tear. So, with that in mind, please join me on a particularly interesting stretch of the Conestoga trail in Lancaster Country. We will meet in the parking lot of the Pequea Boat Launch. Additional logistical details will be provided directly to qualified participants. Ascents and descents can be steep and the footing may be poor. Everyone should be sufficiently equipped with electrolytes and prepared to eat on the move. Hikers should be comfortable with creek crossings that may be wet without the need to remove shoes and socks. 2 liters water minimum at start with a resupply at the 8 mile mark. Bring snacks to sustain energy levels and personal medical supplies. Sorry, no dogs.
