Overview

The PA Highlands Trail Stewards are back in action!!! Due to a problem with Richland Township, part of the trail we had previously "finished" had to be re-located. The new path has been grossly established and blazed. Our final task here will be to more finely establish and blaze the treadway for the relocation and install new bog bridges on same. Walking the trail is rated "Relaxed" but the work assignments are rated "Moderate" and "Vigorous." Proper PPE is required. That means long pants and shirts, hard hats, work gloves, and eye protection. These last three items will be provided for you if you do not have your own. Tools will be provided. Bring your own water and lunch as there will be no sharing. To ensure your safety and enable you to join us on this work trip, you must register here on the AMC Activities Database web site, complete the liability waiver form, and have your registration confirmed by this activity's AMC Chapter Leader. Meeting time and place will be given upon registration confirmation. You will be notified by email when you are confirmed as a participant. ANYONE NOT RECEIVING A REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION FROM THIS ACTIVITY'S LEADER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO JOIN THE GROUP AT THE TRAILHEAD. Due to the Covid virus situation, everyone must also bring a mask and hand sanitizer with a minimum of 60% alcohol content. Masks will be required to be worn after arriving at the trail head and during preparation and trail head talk. Masks will also be required to be worn when social distancing is not possible during the work day. Contact the leader with any questions
