Artillery Park parking lot located on East Inner Liner Drive,
This Black Friday will you spend the day waiting in a lot of traffic and endless lines shopping or go for a hike to burn off those calories from your turkey dinner?! Join me for a vigorous seven mile quest in the higher elevated parts of Valley Forge National Historical Park to burn off the calories from that turkey dinner. We will hike at a brisk pace up Mount Joy and Mount Misery and other various areas of the park. The hike will include a 1400+ total elevation gain. Previous strenuous hiking experience will be needed as we will be moving at a quick steady rate. Wear good hiking shoes or boots. Have sanitizer available. During the hike we will social distance. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO BRING A MASK. You will use your mask when you cannot keep the safe 6 ft distance. For example at the start of the hike you will need to have a mask. We will begin our hike at 9 AM from the Artillery Park parking lot located on East Inner Liner Drive (GPS 40.093825 , -75.448934) Directions from 202 North or South: Get onto 422 West. Take exit onto Route 23 and make a left into the park. Continue to follow 23 past Washington's Headquarters and make a left onto Gulph Rd and then take the second right onto East Inner Line Drive. Follow same directions if you are coming East bound on 422 ( from Collegeville area), except you will make a right onto Rt 23 to follow into the park. Dogs permitted -park rules require a leash. If there is severe weather, the event will cancel. Please contact me if you have any questions.
