Connecticut, West of River,

Overview

Though we will be sharing tips and tricks, this is not instructional, like Introduction to Trail Running, but a fun way to get out with like-minded individuals to practice on a real trail that will reward us with a view. If you are a runner who hikes, or a hiker who runs, and you are in good physical condition and have trail running shoes, then this is for you! We will run up to and just past the Mt. Higby summit for 2.5 miles (the summit can get crowded and we want to keep our space) and return the same way. This manageable route is good for advanced beginner trail runners and up. If you are a pole user, bring them. Participants will be notified via email by 7:30 AM on the day of the event if there are any changes due to weather or trail conditions. Please carry hydration, nutrition, a small first aid kit, mask, and hand sanitizer. Contact leader with any questions. Meet time is 9:30 AM.

Putting one foot in front of the other as often as I can. CT DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist concentrating on mammals. Working on my NH 48. I like challenging hikes and all the beautiful places. Running hither and yon.
