Overview

Join us for an engaging presentation from Jill Watkins on environmentally-friendly building design. Learn about the overarching concepts of green building, its history, and how buildings affect the environment. Discuss things you can do in your own home to help mitigate climate change and improve the natural world. We'll touch on the LEED Green Building Rating System and its components: site, location, water, energy, materials, indoor air quality, and innovation. We'll also talk about WELL building and the future of building design. Jill Watkins is an NCIDQ Certified Interior Designer and LEED Accredited Professional with over 25 years of commercial design experience. She started her own business in 2014 providing commercial and residential interior design and green building consulting services. She is a backpacking leader for the Potomac, New York/North Jersey, and Delaware Valley Chapters.
