This winter, AMC challenges you to spend two hours outdoors every week! Our Be Outdoors Challenge is intended to lift your spirits, improve your health, and have fun. To help you along the way, we have developed a four-part webinar series on winter skills that includes topics related to traction, Leave No Trace, the 10 Essentials, and activities to try outdoors with kids. This webinar will focus on The Ten Essentials with a winter focus. Anytime you head out for an outdoor adventure it's important to be prepared for changing weather conditions and the possibility that something could go wrong. The best way to be prepared in the outdoors is to carry the ten essentials on every trip. In winter conditions, the need for these items can be even more important. Packing the Ten Essentials whenever you step into the backcountry, even on day hikes, is a good habit. Join AMC Outdoor Guides, Clare Arentzen and Patrick Suddeth for an overview of the 10 Essentials. Our professional Guides will add information and tips based on their experience and expertise while guiding in the White Mountains.
