Overview

A CFPA Trails Day hike of around 6 miles on relatively easy terrain on old farmlands and woods. Old tobacco barns, water views and animal barns are on this property; there is also a nature center and tobacco museum which may or not be open. Meet at 9:00 am at parking lot for park. Dogs welcome. Rain cancels. Bring snack and water. Signing up on AMC website should also register with CFPA (both are requiring online registration). At the time this is being posted (March) hike is governed by AMC limit of 10 because it is lower than CFPA limit. CFPA is not opening up registration until May 20. CFPA also wants hikers to wear masks for entire hike. (Since it looks like we will mostly be vaccinated by June, I will try to make changes if either CFPA or AMC loosen any protocols before then.) Take Exit 38 off I-91, go north on Rt 75 1.2 miles, turn left onto Prospect Hill Rd, proceed to second traffic circle, turn right onto Lang Rd, parking for park is at end of road in .4 miles.
