Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. Overview

AMC Baker Camp on Lake Sebago Work Crew Information Introduction AMC is excited to continue renovations to Baker Camp in Harriman State Park in spring/summer 2021. We have a lot to accomplish before we can open for day or overnight access, when we are ready, we will be able to accommodate 160 people overnight in cabins and tents! It's a big step for us, and we know that volunteers will help make it a success. With that in mind, we are inviting AMC volunteers to sign up for work groups this year. WHEN: 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Sunday, April 25 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Sunday, May 2 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Sunday, May 9 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM - Sunday, May 16 WHERE: MEET at gate to Baker Camp on Lake Sebago at 10AM. WHO: Work is not appropriate for younger volunteers, participants should be at least 18 years old. WHAT TO Work includes removing large items, trash and debris from cabins, dining hall, rec etc. EXPECT: Hall and grounds. Items will be broken up and placed in 30-yard dumpsters. Expect to get dirty. WHAT TO Dress appropriately for dirty work. Wear close toed shoes and long pants. BRING: Bring water and a bag lunch. Gloves will be provided. HOW TO Registration is Required for work dates. The park is five miles down Seven Lakes Drive, with signs leading you to the entrance. Visitors can take Palisades Parkway to Exit 16, Lake Welch Drive, and then turn onto Seven Lakes Drive, or they may take I-90 to exit 15A, turn left, and follow the road for 5 miles to Seven Lakes Drive.
