AMC is excited to continue renovations to Baker Camp in Harriman State Park in spring/summer 2021. We have a lot to accomplish before we can open for day or overnight access. When we are ready, we will be able to accommodate 160 people overnight in cabins and tents! It's a big step for us, and we know that volunteers will help make it a success. With that in mind, we are inviting AMC volunteers to sign up for work groups this year. Work includes removing large items, trash and debris from cabins, dining hall, rec hall and grounds. Items will be broken up and placed in 30 yard dumpsters. Expect to get dirty. Dress appropriately for dirty work. Wear close toed shoes and long pants. Work is not appropriate for younger volunteers; participants should be at least 18 years old. Bring water and a bag lunch. Gloves will be provided. MEET at gate to Baker Camp at 10AM. Participants must have their own hand sanitizer and face mask, which will be required to be worn when social distancing cannot be adequately maintained, and at other times at the direction of the leader.
