New Hampshire, White Mountains,
Join us at Rumney Rocks, one of America's premier sport climbing destinations. With over 1,000 routes ranging from 5.3 - 5.15, there's something for everyone! Rumney is located just north of Rumney, NH on the hillside of Rattlesnake Mountain. The rock type in this area is Granite Schist. I was told, that it's sharp….. After a day of climbing, we'll retire to the AAC Rattlesnake Campgrounds (across from Rumney) for evenings of stories, campfires, and comraderies with other climbers. However, you must book your own campsite and bring your own camping gear. The link to AAC Rattlesnake is listed below. Unfortunately, this is NOT an instructional trip. Attendees must know how to safely & properly sport climb and clean anchors. You should also be familiar with 'pig tails" or "ram's horn" anchors (see link below). Climbing is dangerous and gravity hurts. Due to Covid-19, I won't be able to provide rides to Rumney, but I can assist in the facilitation of carpools for attendees who are interested. We can also caravan if you desire.
