Overview

Grab a beverage or some dinner and please join us for the Potomac Chapter's Second Virtual Annual Meeting. Our guest speaker will be Ranger Claire Comer from Shenandoah National Park. Over the past thirty years, she has told the stories of Shenandoah in person, online and through exhibits while working as an interpretive specialist. Ranger Comer's family used to live on the land that is now Shenandoah National Park and she has agreed to share her unique outdoor journey with us. We are planning another slide show, so gather your photos from your favorite AMC adventures and send them to Rich Batiuk at treasurer@amcpotomac.org. Please include a brief description of the location and trip. In addition, we plan to offer several in-person outdoor events earlier in the day at various locations within the region. Trips will be posted on the Activities Database and our Meetup page so keep an eye out for new listings and come join us if you can. The business portion of the Annual Meeting will be virtual so as many people as possible can participate and to keep everyone safe as COVID numbers in our region remain high. We will elect officers, recognize volunteers, and hear from our Chapter Chair and AMC Headquarters staff about how you can get more involved with your local chapter and get outdoors! Registration is required so please click on the button above in order to receive the link for the Zoom meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
