Overview

Join us in a challenging overnight backpack adventure in the Sandwich Range Wilderness. We'll stealth camp on the Kate Sleeper trail Saturday night. With good weather and a motivated group we will summit the Tripyramids, Passaconoway and Whiteface.. Previous winter hiking and/or backpacking experience is required and participants should be in shape for a long challenging hikes with winter loads. Day 1: 10 miles, approx. 4730 ft elevation gain; Day 2: 7.2 miles, approx. 1390 ft elevation gain. The pace will be moderate but with heavy backpacks and long days. All leaders and participants must bring a mask on the backpack for emergency purposes but are not required to wear it during hiking. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
