Overview

Join us for a winter day hike Mt. Monroe (5372) and Mt Washington (6,288'). We will hike 9.1 miles round trip with 4,532 ft of elevation gain. We will move at a moderate pace over varied terrain. Expect full winter conditions with cold, wind, deep snow and the possibility of breaking trail. Please be an experienced winter hiker in good physical condition, with full winter gear including spikes, crampons, snowshoes, face protection and above-treeline wind layers. All leaders and participants must bring a mask on the hike for emergency purposes but are not required to wear it during hiking. To address unforeseen challenges such as adverse weather, unacceptable trail conditions or excessive crowding, the planned trip destination, activity and/or meeting place and time may be modified. In that event, participants may elect to join in that activity or opt out.
