The Nominating Committee is now seeking recommendations from the Chapter membership for potential candidates for the Executive Committee (ExComm) Communications Liaison for 2023. The Communications group includes the monthly eBlast to members, social media, and the website. Each of these functions has a person responsible for them, working with the Communications Liasion person. The ExComm is responsible for the governance of the Chapter. All members take part in discussions and voting about chapter policy and management. In addition, each position has some specific responsibilities and all members might be asked to take on some specific project. AMC membership is required, but it is not necessary to be a trip leader or a long-time member. If you would like to nominate yourself or suggest someone else for the position, or if you have questions about the position, please contact Henry Schreiber, the Nominating Committee Chair, at the email address below.
COVID 19 Information: As of December 1, 2021 AMC requires volunteers be vaccinated or receive a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the start of an event. AMC relies on the honor system for compliance. Participants may be required to wear masks, provide proof of vaccination, or in the alternative a current (within 72 hours) negative PCR test as a condition of attending this event. For your personal safety, you should expect to be in the presence of vaccinated and unvaccinated people in all AMC settings and should make choices about participating accordingly.
