The Lynda Cohen Performing Arts Series at Crawford Notch consists of four outdoor performances at AMC's Highland Center Lodge in the White Mountain National Forest. Designed to be family friendly events, the performing arts series seeks to create a genuine sense of connection to stewardship and conservation through a celebration of the natural world and performing arts. August 20th features Beg, Steal or Borrow, https://www.begstealorborrowvt.com/ We have two volunteer opportunities: Event-Only Volunteer (Saturday 4:30-9:30pm) and Two-Day Volunteer (Saturday 3:00-10:00pm plus Sunday 9:00-10:00am). Lodging available in Highland Center group lodging (shared rooms with shared baths in Shapleigh or the main lodge). Dinner on the night of the concert and breakfast on Sunday. Enjoy a fabulous concert. Events will happen rain or shine. Be prepared with clothes for an outdoor event in summer mountain weather, i.e., it could be windy, rainy, chilly, etc. See full concert listing for each night also located in this activities database for more information. All are welcome. Two-Day Volunteers: Join other AMC staff and volunteers to support the set-up, operation, and clean-up of this fun, outdoor music event. Upon 3 pm arrival, there will be an introduction to staff and other volunteers, followed by an orientation to the concert venue and volunteer tasks. Responsibilities will include helping with the final set up of the concert space (arranging lighting, setting out signage, and arranging supplies). Set up tasks will segue into welcoming concert goers and checking ID's, managing parking, distributing AMC information, and assisting with food and beverage sales and garbage management. After the concert at 9:00 pm, we ask for help with cleaning up concert operations. Saturday will include time for all volunteers to check-in to the lodge, find their overnight space, and enjoy dinner. Sunday morning, after breakfast from 8-9 am, we will take down concert area fencing and store it while performing a final sweep of the grounds for trash. Event-Only Volunteers: Join other AMC staff and volunteers to support the set-up, operation, and clean-up of this fun, outdoor music event. Upon 4:30 pm arrival, there will be an introduction to staff and other volunteers, followed by an orientation to the concert venue and volunteer tasks. Responsibilities may include welcoming concert goers and checking ID's, managing parking, distributing AMC information, and assisting with food and beverage sales and garbage management. After the concert at 9:00 pm, we ask for help cleaning up concert operations to be done 9 - 10 pm. All volunteers will have time to check-in to the lodge, find their overnight space, and enjoy dinner prior to the concert start at 7:00 pm. Breakfast is available Sunday morning for those who wish to spend the night.
