Chesterfield Gorge Picnic area, River Rd. Chesterfield MA,
The 23rd Annual Anniversary Hike will take place at Chesterfield Gorge on October 4, 2022. This show-and-go hike includes a 3 mile stretch on a woods road next to the Westfield River to our elevenses (too early for Lunch) spot beside the river. After a leisurely break, we will return to the starting point/picnic area for a social hour celebration. All are welcome. For those wishing to join us for munchies and more, you are welcome to meet us on our return around noon at the picnic tables. Hikers need to be prepared for seasonal conditions depending on the weather. Check the weather forecast. Poles are optional as this is a gently sloping or flat road. Bring a light lunch, water and hors d"oeuvres, fruit, dip, or dessert if you would like to share something during the potluck anniversary celebration. Champagne/sparkling beverage will be available for the anniversary toast.
COVID 19 Information: As of December 1, 2021 AMC requires volunteers be vaccinated or receive a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the start of an event.
