Intro to Sea Kayaking with NH Paddlers. Friday/Sat/Sun will consist of both dry-land and on-water training for new paddlers or those looking to fine tune their skills. Screening is required prior to receiving a registration form. Limited to 10 participants plus leaders. Program begins 8 pm Thursday night through Sunday (Sunday paddle is optional). Fri/Sat/Sun breakfast and Friday, Saturday Dinner are included in the weekend. Bring your own food for snacks/lunches Friday/Sat/Sun. Kayaks length of 14.5+ ft. Required equipment: PFD, appropriate gear for water temps - not air temps, i.e. wet suit, dry suits, spray jackets, water shoes. The training will cover; self/assisted rescues, paddling strokes, leave-no-trace, safety skills, navigation, group dynamics and much more. If rentals are needed, Kayaks, PFD's and wet suits are available to rent from AMC NH Paddlers or a local outfitter who can deliver directly to AMC Knubble Bay Camp: Sea Spray Kayaking: 207-404-1100 or visit: https://www.seaspraykayaking.com/rent. NH Paddler does have sea kayaks available for rent for this weekend. These boats are new to our "fleet". Fantastic weekend, Levels of experience from all the leaders was exceptional. Love doing Wet exits, I learned so much!! From the leaders: This is our 12th year doing a trip to Knubble Bay for NH AMC Paddlers and it has always been a success.
