Make this summer solstice weekend one to remember! Come hike the entirety of the Taconic Crest Trail with me in one massive, grueling day! The Taconic Crest Trail is a 37-mile hiking route following the spine of the Taconic Range in New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. It is also a member of the prestigious NE Ultra 8, a collection of seriously difficult hikes in the northeast. Many people take several days to hike the Taconic Crest Trail. However, we will be hiking this in one long day, starting before dawn and ending after sunset. Needless to say, this is not for the faint of heart. Along with the 37 grueling miles, there is a cumulative elevation gain/loss of somewhere near 8000 feet. This hike is only for highly experienced hikers who have completed hikes of similar difficulty and have trained seriously for this trip. If you have not hiked with me in the past there will be a vetting process and you may need to provide references as well as complete at least one or two qualifying hikes in the weeks/months leading up to this hike. All registrants will be added to the waitlist until qualifiers are met. All participants will be expected to assist with vehicle shuttles, food/water drops, carpooling etc. Expect potentially hot weather this time of year, so plan and train accordingly. There will be further email communication regarding logistics. Let's get this one checked off the list! Please register online.
