Paddle upstream on the Tully River to Long Lake, optional hike to Spirit Falls, paddle downstream to Tully Lake (past the launch spot and hopefully a portapotty). Island hop in Tully Lake, possible swimming (if water quality is good). All flatwater paddling, no rapids, NO beaver dams. Possible sighting of turtles and blue heron. Optional hike to Doane's Falls. PFD (personal floatation device), lunch, snacks and drinking water are required. All participants register online. Only a forecast of heavy rain cancels. Inform the leader ASAP if your plans change. Boat rentals MAY be available at Tully campground (call 978-249-4957). A few loaner boats are available for registered participants at a nominal charge, arrangements well in advance.
