The plan is to do a long stretch of flat and quickwater either on the Magalloway River from Wilson's Mills in Maine to the Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge just west of Umbagog Lake, or on the nearby Androscoggin River. In either case, there are several places along the way, where we can spot cars for those wanting a shorter trip. This trip is suitable for canoes and recreational, crossover, and touring kayaks. Rental boats are available from the AMC NH Paddlers but arrangements for pickup and return must be made well in advance. https://sites.google.com/view/nhamcpaddlers/home. Helmets are not required for this trip. PFDs (life vests) must be worn at all times while on the water. We strongly recommend bringing food, plenty of water, and appropriate sun and insect protection. This trip is part of our annual Labor Day Paddlers Gathering in Errol, NH. We have group camping at Clear Stream Campground available for $15/pp/pn, 2 nights minimum..
