Activity leaders, this free event is for you! We will gather for great activities, a delicious lunch, and loads of fun! After lunch there will be time for discussion as well as interesting info or demo sessions, and games. All current activity leaders are invited! If you are a leader who hasn't led in awhile, but are an AMC-DV member who would like to lead again, please join us! We can help you get re-started with leading! Before the picnic, there will be morning activities which will be listed separately in ActDB. Register for those activities separately when they are posted. If you'd like to lead a morning hike, bike ride, or paddle, or help with picnic set-up please contact Mary Toomey at [email protected] before posting. There are lovely hilly hiking trails, a large pond near our pavilion, and the flatter Perkiomen trail which is pavement or crushed gravel. After the picnic, free tent camping is available in the group campsite near the picnic pavilion Campers can walk to the nearby pond at sunset and then enjoy a crackling fire before settling into our tents to enjoy the sounds of nature as we fall asleep. There are bathrooms and showers near the group campsite. Details will be sent to registrants as well as to the leader hotline. When you register for the picnic, please note whether you will be attending the picnic, camp-out, or both. The picnic is under a shady covered pavilion and is an all-weather event. The camp-out and morning activities may be cancelled or altered in case of inclement weather.
