I will be leading a beginner's hike on Saturday, May 11 around Walden Pond. If you've never hiked before this is a great hike. The hike itself will be 1.69 miles over mostly flat terrain. Sneakers or cross trainers are fine. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a day back with water and some snacks. Bring a hat, bug spray and rain gear as well. We will be taking our time and taking it slow There is an $8 parking fee for MA cars, payable at self-pay stations. Free with a DCR state park pass.
