We've been running the lobster weekend for over 30 years and it's everyone's favorite. Enjoy a fun day of paddling on Saturday, followed by a traditional New England lobster bake. Sunday we will do a half day paddle. We'll be staying at the AMC's beautiful waterfront Knubble Bay Camp (KBC) in Georgetown, ME. We will launch our kayaks from the beach on the property. Located at KBC is an "off the grid", open concept, post and beam cabin. The cabin has a large deck overlooking the water, a great place to relax, socialize or enjoy your favorite beverage. On the first floor is a large kitchen that includes a refrigerator, stove and oven. Also on that floor is a dining area and living space to relax or socialize. A large upstairs bunk room has terrific views of the water. Bring bedding and a pillow if you'd like to sleep in the cabin (secure a spot when you register-first-come-first-served). If you prefer, sleep outside under the stars and wake to the call of the loons. Outside there are two tent platforms and ample level ground for tents. Saturday dinner is a traditional New England lobster bake. It includes everything you'd hope for: lobsters, steamers, corn on the cob, potatoes, coleslaw, and dessert. We provide breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Pack your own lunches to eat on the paddles Saturday and Sunday. Lobster weekend is open to advanced beginner, intermediate and advanced paddlers. You must have experience paddling in the ocean, not just a lake, river or tidal area. To register for this exciting weekend, click on the REGISTER NOW box above.
