Overview

A moderate paced hike through the northern portion of the state park in both Framingham and Marlborough, past picturesque Beebe Pond and through Baiting Brook Meadow Conservation Land, a Christmas tree farm. The trip includes Gibbs Mountain (est. elevation 450 ft) and portions of the BCT and includes paths through the interior forest as well open fields. We'll cover 6-7 miles with ups and downs. Plan to be out for 4+ hours depending on the pace of the group (which can vary). Wear waterproof hiking boots. Be prepared for a possibly muddy trail including deep puddles. Wear moisture wicking layers and clothing appropriate for the temperature and conditions. Bring the following in your Day Pack: a good lunch, at least 2 liters of water, an extra pair of socks (just in case you get soaked), a hat and gloves. Bring hiking poles if you use them. Meeting location will be emailed to participants about 2 days prior to the hike. Steady rain cancels. No dogs allowed on the hike, thanks for understanding The hike leaders reserve the right to adjust the route if conditions warrant and cannot guarantee the hike will be completed by any specific time.
