Overview

Nottingcook Town Forest Bow New Hampshire Come join us for a leisurely paced walk on a late spring Wed. evening. We will listen and look at a variety of birds as the sunsets and darkness begins to fall. Our Route will take us past a marsh. Up along a meandering stream to a wonderful hill top viewpoint. On a clear evening, we can see up to mt Cardigan, the Belknap range and beyond. Hopefully we will catch a glimpse of sunset as we will return by an easy route along an old wood road as darkness falls. Total round-trip about 3 1/2 miles. This is a beginner hike, raingear water, snacks, suitable footwear for a rocky trail and flashlight or headlamp required. Binoculars suggested.
