Overview

This is a perfect weekend for International Foodie Lovers and Friends! Everyone will help prepare meals and learn simple international (though probably mostly pan-Asian) cooking techniques from the leaders, who will bring most of the food and supplies. All meals will ve made together as a group in the lodge. Participants may be asked to stop and pickup supplies for the weekend. Bring your own meals to cook and share if you like, and don't forget your own Happy Hour beverages. We'll try to make meal prep simple so we have plenty of time for day hikes and paddles. We will be staying in Stone Lodge, which is a premium lodge experience that sleeps 12 people in 3 bedrooms and includes an indoor kitchen, indoor bathrooms, fireplace, enclosed sunroom and much more. Check in at the camp office when you arrive. Check-in time is Friday at 3 pm. Check-out time is Sunday at 11 am, although you are welcome to enjoy the camp until 3 pm. This event is led by the chapter's Harriman Program Committee Volunteer Leaders. Paddling and yoga equipment at the camp are provided free of charge courtesy of the NY-NoJ Chapter. The camp is accessible by public transportation. Registration Advance registration is mandatory. In the past, this event has completely sold out. I've travelled so much of the world, and there's so much more to see! This year alone I've been to California and Nevada and Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire . . .. So much to do and see! I'm a 20 year AMC member and for many years was membership chair, and briefly on the Executive Committee. Who knows what will happen in 2024?!

I love a challenging whitewater river, as well as exploring the northern regions of the Adirondacks.
