This clinic is for paddlers that want to pack a kayak and camp on an island. We will meetup on Saturday morning and paddle to a Boston harbor island (TBD) and camp overnight. On Saturday, we will pack up and navigate around Boston harbor, practicing navigation, VHF basics, and maneuvering and landing a loaded boat. We will return to the launch in the afternoon. For this clinic, you need level 2 paddling skills (Moderate) since we will paddle 7-10 miles on Sunday and will launch, land, and cross busy boat channels with loaded boats. You will need a boat >15' in length with two hatches (or rent one). You will want some camping experience (backpack or car) and have or borrow basic camping gear (i.e., sleeping bag, tent, stove, etc.). Registration is required for this activity as space is limited.
