* This is a Maine Wilderness Initiative-based program for Piscataquis Youth. Registration requires prior permission from the Maine Education Office, Stephany Perkins, 207-349-3088, [email protected]. Teen Wilderness Adventures uses public lands to explore the rugged beauty of the North Maine Woods. Participants will learn about Maine's ecology as they build camaraderie and enjoy the challenge of paddling one of Maine's most beautiful rivers. Activities include paddling and outdoor skill-building. Varied levels of outdoor experience and skills are welcome. All will enjoy this trip, which will emphasize the group experience as well as skills development.
