Overview

Enjoy a day learning the fundamentals of mountain biking. The morning session consists of learning concepts, skills instruction, and drills to practice riding techniques. After lunch we'll further enhance our mountain biking ability by riding incrementally more challenging trails. Gear required: mountain bike with wheels of at least 27.5 inches, helmet, gloves. Highly recommended: bike shorts, bike shoes, clear or amber safety glasses, dropper post. Bring ample food and beverages. Rain cancels. Mountain biking is an invigorating sport which fully engages your mind and body. It requires a high level of knowledge, skill, and judgment. It is also the most injury-prone sport: navigating hazardous terrain at speed while any fall off the bike is a drop of several feet onto an obstacle-laden surface. Registration required. Also, please email the leader (Skip Doyle) a brief description of your gear and your bike riding experience.
